Moderated by GNAPH President John Middleton and featuring speakers from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) ( https://www.healthdata.org/ ), this webinar will provide an overview of key findings from the 2023 Global Burden of Disease Study ( https://www.healthdata.org/research-analysis/library/global-burden-disease-2023-findings-gbd-2023-study ), including post-pandemic health trends, persistent inequities, and the growing burden of noncommunicable diseases.\nThe webinar will include a moderated panel discussion featuring Laura Magaña (ASPPH), GNAPH Immediate Past-President, and Wah Yun Low (APACPH), GNAPH President-Elect, who will reflect on how academic public health can make use of these data and tools to inform teaching, research, and advocacy, and how GNAPH might continue learning from and collaborating with IHME in the future.
