Join the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH) for a timely discussion on the Global Burden of Disease and its implications for global health and academic public health. Moderated by GNAPH President John Middleton and featuring speakers from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), this webinar will provide an overview of key findings from the 2023 Global Burden of Disease Study, including post-pandemic health trends, persistent inequities, and the growing burden of noncommunicable diseases. It will also explore how GBD tools and data can be used by academic public health institutions to inform teaching, research, and advocacy, and will consider the role of GNAPH and the wider academic public health community in responding to these findings to help prepare the next generation of public health leaders.
