What inspired your interest in public health?

Growing up in the Philippines showed me the real impact and importance of Public Health. I was also much more interested in the big picture of things, especially healthcare, and so I was led to public health.

What public health issue or area are you most passionate about, and why?

I am most passionate about policy and the legal side of Public Health since all the things public health can do are impacted by policies and legal structures in place.

Briefly describe the TIPH Global project you are supporting and your role in it.

Expanding Public Health Horizons: Engaging Students, Inspiring Global Action is an initiative that will engage students and community members through public events, podcasts, and interactive workshops focused on global health challenges and solutions. I am responsible for coordinating everything.

What do you hope your project will contribute to your institution, community, or the broader public health field?

I hope that this will contribute to a general awareness of the importance of public health and global health.

What are your future study or career interests?

I plan to further my career in the intersection between public health, law, and policy.
