Regional Climate and Health Communities of Practice (CoPs)

The Communities of Practice (CoPs) are regional, faculty-led virtual learning networks designed to support public health educators in integrating climate and health content into curricula. Building on the Climate-Ready Classrooms faculty development course, the CoPs provide a structured space for participants to apply new knowledge through peer exchange, share teaching resources, explore curriculum integration strategies, and develop deliverables tailored to local institutional and regional contexts.

Each CoP is facilitated by a Regional Faculty Lead and will bring together participants for a multi-month series of bi-weekly virtual sessions. Activities emphasize local relevance and may include sessions on climate–health linkages, pedagogical approaches, curriculum mapping, and institutional advocacy while maintaining flexibility to align with regional priorities.

Format: Virtual via Zoom

Cadence: Every other week for 5 months, exact meeting dates and times TBD by each regional CoP
