18th World Congress on Public Health

The 18th World Congress on Public Health (WCPH 2026) will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from September 6 to 9, Organized by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) and the Public Health Association of South Africa (PHASA), the Congress will bring together more than 2,000 anticipated delegates including public health professionals, policymakers, researchers, educators, and advocates from around the world.

Under the theme Health Without Borders: Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability,” WCPH 2026 will highlight collaborative and practical approaches to some of today’s most pressing global public health challenges.

The Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH) and members of its regional academic public health associations will have a strong presence throughout the Congress, contributing to sessions and conversations on topics including academic public health leadership and collaboration, global public health diplomacy, workforce development, climate action, healthy longevity, mental well-being in academia, peace and health, and the professionalization of the public health workforce.
